Deekay: Just another average guy who loves watching movies.  First introduction to movies was obviously Bollywood, was a big fan of Amitabh Bacchan as a kid ......growing up years saw a testosterone induced tilt towards Sunny paaji for action and then towards Amir Khan for his class...(still an Amir fan).....it was only in the last 2 years that appreciation and craving for watching good movies kicked in, irrespective of the language.  This blog is an instrument in that direction and hopefully will serve as a guide for all the fellow travelers through the wonderful world of cinema.

And last but not least, thanks to dear friend Tracer bullet, for supporting this idea and taking the plunge whole heartedly....and also Devil Snare and Doctor Saab, who despite their busy schedule, manage to post their valuable views here.....cheerzzz

DevilSnare:

Amidst all the melodrama in our lives, we always crave for that bit of distortion towards another world. Another life.
And then comes the Movies. Masti. And Magic. I have been mesmerized with this refuge for all the right reasons.

I grew up to Hindi and English titles and have been a forthright viewer to the motion picture industry ever since. Movies are like the kala khatta golas (Ice Lollies) I used to scoff in Bombay. Merely hanging to a little stick of cane they come in ekdum solid flavor, wholly blissful and not to talk of the coloured tongue they always leave behind even after finishing it. I have been literally driven by movies as a matter of fact.
I was in love with Maduri DIxit in 4th STD. I remember watching 1942 Love Story for every Independence Day Specials. The breath-taking music of Roja and the architecture of Devdas cant be left behind. How to leave off Vinod Khanna in The Burning Train and Sreedevi in Gumrah? The list of notable actors and films is endless and I could possibly keep on writing about each and every one of them. Hollywood at the same has her own great stories to tell.

Given this opportunity by Deekay, I never once realized that writing on a movie, acknowledges it way much better than speech. Movies are inspirational drivers to me and I watch them with all the heart. Having said that, let’s Movie Masti and Magic here at the World Of Movies.”

Govind Raj:  A Doctor by profession. A Jack of all trades and Master of none, including the chosen profession of Medicine. Live, Love and Laugh is the motto in life. Cricket and Cinema are part of life. It all began with undiluted adoration of Bachchan in "Amar Akbar Anthony". Like Deekay, graduated to Aamir Khan, but don't have a Hero today. Believe movies belong to Directors / Writers.

Basically a movie buff and not an expert in the job of reviewing. Hence wouldn't like to brand posts as Reviews. Prefer to call them 'Views' ! That saves a lot of effort on surgically dissecting things like Screenplay and Editing which aren't easily understood.

Believe, a movie is a story. If it touches a cord, have to express it. If not, have to dissect it. Done it on Facebook and Twitter. But they are basically micro-views. This is the first attempt at organizing thoughts on a movie that was very close to heart. Thanks Deekay for the inspiration and for the opportunity to post here.

Tracer Bullet: A common man to whom movies are a source of inspiration, adventure, pleasure, hope, enjoyment, wisdom, magic, and dreams.

I saw movies since I was a kid... who hasn't.... the movie I remember from my childhoods is Sholay... who wouldn't have seen it.. it used to come every time in Doordarshan.. I would say most of life was spent watching Hindi and Malayalam movies.. it was just recently that I started watching English movies.. and I love them... for their visuals, their wide scope of story and sets.. it is just breathtaking... if it hadn't been for my best friend Deekay, I wouldn't have written about any of the movies that I watched.. but it is his idea to create a place where we can all tell each others what movies we saw and how we felt... I will keep watching movies and keep you guys updated on what is out there worth watching.. cheers... peace...
